gotten together

i was able to gather my friends today -- only a few actually. some of the people who have been part of my journey through life. i'm kinda sleepy na after a long day. hehe anyway we had someone to cater the dinner and as usual i loved the food they prepared :D

-grilled tuna with mango salsa
-rodesian salad

well i also prepared something, my ultimate baked pasta gone bad but end up quite fine -- that according to my guests. hmmm i hope they were that honest when they said that. ahahaha. i dunno why but seemed to be so tragic during the food preparation, and it came in three.

1. while cooking the meat and mushrooms, the casserole literally fell good that it landed on the bottom that the content were tossed back to the casserole. whew! it would have been just pasta if everything went to the floor.

2. i forgot to put sugar... err without tasting i turned the stove off and mixed the sauce and pasta -- now that was when i remembered i didn't taste it and that haven't added sugar but fortunately made up a remedy and i guess went okey.

3. it was around 5 when i finished preparing the whole thing and sent it inside the 450 degree hot oven, had to take the pup to bath and check on the needs for the party and finally was able to find time to rest and take care of my self. just as i seated bare on the toilet seat prior to taking a bath, i jumped alarmed as i remembered, the pasta still in the oven and probably burnt in to ash crumbs. if only you saw me you'd be laughing. felt relieved to see it wasn't totally a mess but i guess it still was. our house help needed hot water just to clean the serving dish after.

i was happy, enjoyed with the party having some friends but it would have been happier and different when everyone came -- people whom i wanted to see today came. i am still thankful though for the time everyone has given whether they came or not and more than anything thankful for the pieces they've shared with me :)

uhm what's difficult is when your guests doesn't really know each other that well, i need to hop from one table to another.hehe.
