A Meeting With Destiny: The Block B Prophecy

On a cold summer night I sit alone in our front porch, holding a pint of vanilla ice cream and was just chillin time away. The year was 2021, 13 years after passing the board exam, I was old, alone, miserable, fat and desperate. Times have surely changed since those years; it made me wonder where my batchmates are right now and what are they doing. To be honest I kinda miss them, especially the block B orig folks which the last time I saw them was many years ago at Los Go’s place, we had fun at that time. I remember the times when we… “Oh shit…” I uttered. Something was happening; I felt a crushing pain in my chest, radiating in my back, jaw and towards my left arm. Diaphoresis was setting in….I couldn’t move, the immense pain was too much. The spoon in my right arm with a chuck full of vanilla ice cream fell.. “ Damn! I could have had that last bite” But all was too late I feel to the floor and the next thing I saw was a bunch of nurses and doctors commenting on how fat and heavy I am. “Bunch of shitheads!!” I spoke in my mind. Then all was black, like I was floating in a tub of nothingness and I ask myself “Am I dead?” Then in the pitch darkness a light opened and in front of me was an escalator, then a voice spoke “Step into the light” So I did and it carried me up up and away. As I was enjoying the ride I saw another escalator going down towards a red underground entrance and with it were a dozen of the hottest chicks I ever saw. “Damn! Why can’t I go there!?!?” Before long I reached the top. The decorations were superb like a heaven feel to it; they must have hired David Tortera coz the theme was captured. Then out of nowhere like a small supernova appeared a figure. He was wearing yellow havaiianas with a white robe, and then he seems to be hitting the gym, great arms though. He was as tall as me and as I looked at his face he seems very very familiar with the beard and the long hair and all. Then it hit me.. “ Oh my God!!! Your Jesus!” I shouted “ your correct” he uttered. “Where’s St. Peter?” I ask “oh.. he’s in a meeting with rizal and jun Lozada” Jesus spoke. “I can’t believe that I am talking to you this is so unreal, cool and ecstatic” I was pumped up. “I get that a lot” Jesus said. So we talked and talked and then he told me that I was going to be trialed for my earthly sins and that 20 gig porn from Adrian could be very well the difference between heaven and hell. “But before we start the trial I am giving you, I shall grant you of one wish of anything that you want” he spoke. At that moment everything came into place, my lifelong wish, my dream, my fantasy was going to be fulfilled, I knew from the second that question was asked what I wanted…… A Jollibe.. Eat all you can. But I was nervous and had second thoughts so I told Jesus “ I want to see all the Block B orig people, in where they are right now and what they are doing” Jesus said yes to that request and told me to follow him. He placed me in this light blue room that seems to resonate with majestic and Godly powers and at the center was the biggest Sony Wega I have ever seen!. There, he narrated the block B people and my movie marathon of their lives after the boards begun…I should have asked him for popcorn.

Jesus started of with Dottie saying that she is now a part time nurse in Texas but her main work is the top manager of the biggest Chuckie Cheese in the world. Then Aids who is now a top EENT doctor in New England and is part of the cast of Grey’s Anatomy season 77. Then Sheena who, after becoming the chief nurse at St. Lukes, went to New York and replaced the position of the twin of Dean Palad. Then Megs who is now a prominent doctor In the US, she toped their boards over there. She now has two twins and is happily married to a guy, who at some angle looked like a member of the block B who fell heavily for her. Ianna, after getting finally super over with the “guy” went to the US, became a nurse supervisor and won the Americas next top model cycle 18. Then Jesus showed me Merianne and Cheng having dinner at Udang’s, they remarried Jesus said and I was asking “they were married before?” It seems so back in 2009. Merriane is now a Dean in a top performing Nursing school in the country and owns one of the best Nursing Review centers and cheng? Wachutink Cheng was?....of course a top business man in his own class. Brymads, who got depressed for a while, but is now, living his life as a top male model in Millan. Hope is now a Gospel Singer but still works as a nurse in California; she’s currently invited to do a gospel song with Carrie Underwood in her tour. Then there was Cielo who became a top fashion designer in Italy and is blissfully in love because she finally found her own #12. Claire who after being a nurse became a nun in Vatican but fell in love, so she went out and got married, she now lives at Switzerland with her husband and 13 children and earns a living at her business…human trafficking….oohh I mean selling milk. Jundee hit it off big in the real estate department; she currently lives in her Hawaii dream beach house. Then Ishna who is now a top chief equal to that of Wolfgang Puck, still hot as always and is currently the head chief of the only seven star hotel in the world there in Dubai. Criziel is now a nurse in Bahrain, she earned a sum of Dinar money and bought herself a pricey yacht and named it “Zelot”. Then Jaime, who after losing a ton of weight and building a massive six pack became a top gym instructor in the US and is now releasing his book entitled “ Kiss your fat Ass Goodbye” Co authored by Asok. Then I saw Eve Conag who married her long time sweetheart, the guy that felt the helmet of his pops, she is now a nurse in San Antonio Texas and recently joined American Gladiators and won! Now their making a movie starring her….I guess you know what the title will be. Pia who became a top notch nurse in Seattle Greys Hospital and now owns internationally acclaimed clubs around the world named “Piakabs” and her most successful move yet was changing the legal drinking age to 13. Then Tere who is now a clinical instructor at Standford University, her dissertation made new breakthroughs in the nursing profession. I also saw Paula who is currently the Chairman of the Board of Nursing in the Philippines, so far no leakages and discrepancies have been reported since she came aboard. Then Paolo who is now a top fashion/house designer, a feung sui expert and is considered the next David Tortera and is currently the running manager of MYMP. Jesus also showed me Barry who moved to the US bringing Irene with him and became devilishly rich after developing the ultimate Anti-porn Net protection software, A lot of grandma’s worship him now. Marc became a doctor much like his dad, he happily married the “party girl” and is currently the best kidney specialist in Asia. Alex built a bunch of hospitals around the country, ranked at the top amongst the best and of course married Kaye. The Legendary Michael Lloren, coincidently became the Chief justice in the country, after sentencing sir “beefy kayo ka mike” to a lifetime imprisonment, he married Jazzy and has now 3 michaels of his own, who if asked “what do you wanna be when you grow up?” always answered “I wana be a judge”. Then the most talked about person in our batch was also there in the kickass WEGA, Carlos, after a gruesome 40 day retreat at the top of Mt. Everest, realized that he had to say sorry to all the girls that he rejected in the past and is now the head of WWF, saving wildlife and all neat animals like tigers, dolphins, rhinos, buricat fishes ,killerwales and plankton. Then Jesus spoke of Asok, who at 2010 was GQ’s bachelor of the year, he is now a rich single dude but Jesus said Asok would give it all up just to have the lady in glasses by his side. Then Honey who owns now top beach resorts in the country inspired by her Initao beach House which I missed the chance to see. Then Irene who married Barry and now shocked me, because she is the leading vocalist of the currently top selling acoustic band named “ Mamoi”, she is currently on a world tour. Then Jelyn who had an epiphany after being sideswiped wearing a toga, she is now a car collector and currently bought a Lamborghini and a Ferrari enzo. What I saw next made me smile for a while, it was Anjeli, my editor, with her cute pseudo raccoon eyes, she is a nurse in Maryland and a writer of a topseller novel entitled “Animeniac”. A thought crossed my mind..where is Godoy? Then Jesus being Godly and all, read my mind And showed me that Godoy is enjoying life as a Nun at Opus Dei and is currently conducting a world peace rally in North Korea. Then next comes Guzi who is now a prominent nurse but is really passionate about outdoor games and adventures, his team is currently ranked as number1 in white water rafting competitions around the world. Jenny became very rich after developing a hot selling food item, inspired by her ate’s hotdog in bread creation that ,we used to eat during our physics lab, back when sir Agnes was top dog. At last Jesus showed Salvie who after becoming the girlfriend of Marc Nelson became a much stronger woman and now owns a pharmaceutical company. Then the movie ended, I was thrilled and happy about how the block B is going about there lives right now, I was very happy for them. As I thanked Jesus for the wish, I could feel pain in my chest only this time it was like sucking me in a deep vortex…. “whats is happening Jesus?” I ask

“It seems like some people don’t want you to die yet” Jesus said with a small grin “Im going back? Ah… before I go I need to ask you something” I said with a squeezed voice “what is it bro?” Jesus replied “What Happened to Crislam, Pasi, Saxson, Kris An, Dana and Gia? there block B to you know”

Jesus laughed then told me that Crislam is now the pound per pound heavy weight World boxing champion , Pasi is now a Buddhist, Saxson just received the “best dad award” in his community at El Paso Texas, Owen is in a movie “Step up 8 Under the Sheets”, Kris Ann owns a call center company, Dana is the new model of the new levis master engineered jeans and Gia recently discovered that the after effect of the major hit in the head by a basketball thrown by barry which cheng failed to save, made her a master in physics so she is now a physicist at MIT.

As I thanked Jesus I was sucked in by the vortex and all was black again then I heard my name mentioned a couple of times and when I opened my eyes. I saw the face of megs saying that I’m going to be ok and as I look around in this huge white room I saw my IV line dripping at 20 ugtts/second, a Sphyg on my other arm, pulse oxymeter, non rebreather mask…the works. But as I saw things clearer I was Amazed to see all the block B folks in that room and they were exactly like what Jesus showed me. Then Ianna told me that they all flew in because they heard the news. I was awed in greatness. I mean there are only a few moments that can make a person really and truly happy and one of them is when

Friends become Family…

Then everything went black and I heard the song “Akin Ka na Lang by Itchy worms”grrr it was my phone alarm. I woke up, drenched in sweat….. all of it was a dream. I checked my cell 8 am Feb 17 2009. Then I smiled and laughed, I quickly text one of the block B with an exclamation point at the end of the name, the reply was the same with my name. Then I said.. “woi! Reunion napud ta! Wahehehe” the reply? “toinkz.cge game ko..e text sila kay d nko unli :p”….

And with a soft smile I begin to text the block B one after another…..

Dedicated to all the First and Original Block B of XUBSN batch 2007, life could have been different if I haven’t meet you all, life could be better or worse, but in any case I wouldn’t change a single bit. The college journey with you all was great, now lets journey more towards the future, amot amot lang ta sa gasolina ha?…. I THANK YOU (bow)
